Your Diet is very important. There are some things that age us prematurely and they need to be removed.
Sugar is one of those things.
If we knew then, what we know now, when sugar was first introduced to our diet, it would have been a VERY DANGEROUS DRUG.
it is highly addictive and killing us softly with its grip on our emotions. Feeling a bit low or slow, grab a sweet bite and a soda. You are perked right up but sugar increases the risk of obesity, diabetes and heart disease. Large-scale studies have shown that the more high-glycemic foods (those that quickly affect blood sugar), including foods containing sugar, a person consumes, the higher his risk for becoming obese and for developing diabetes and heart disease.
In fact there are very few of our vital organs including our skin that is not negatively affected by sugar.
Fortunately we can learn to live well and eat a lot of very delicious food while cutting out all unnecessary sugar! But like kicking any sort of drug, your body will not celebrate giving it up!
We will have support for those who are serious about kicking some of these nasties like sugar addiction, bread and high carb foods, alcohol, tobacco and other things that can really prevent us from living long & healthy lives.
Depression is often a big part of the unhealthy spikes in blood sugar that can be caused by a diet wit too much sugar or carbs. Living with serious depression is not the way you want to live.
So join us as we kick these bad habits or addictions to the curb.
Fruit naturally contains sugar but Mother Nature knows a thing or two. Fruit binds its sugar with a lot of bulky fiber that helps the sugar to pass through without spiking our blood sugar and boosting our addictions.
